Susan M. Zeamer joined Harmon & Davies, P.C. in 2006 and serves as an Associate in the firm’s Lancaster, Pennsylvania office. Susan concentrates her practice on construction law, labor and employment law, and business/corporate law. She also has significant experience in general commercial litigation. Susan has successfully represented her clients in both federal and state courts, before mediators and arbitrators, as well as before various administrative agencies.

Prior to joining the firm, Susan was a Senior Associate with a Harrisburg law firm, where she concentrated her practice on commercial litigation and employment law. Upon graduating from law school, Susan began her career as an Assistant Counsel with the Governor’s Office of General Counsel under Governor Tom Ridge. She was recognized by Governor Ridge as one of the up and coming Assistant Counsel in the Office of General Counsel.

Academically, Susan earned her Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law in 1998, where she served as Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution/Client Counseling Board and was a member of Phi Alpha Delta honor society. Susan earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University in 1994, where she was a member of the Pi Gamma Mu honor society.

Susan is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar, as well as the United State Supreme Court, United States District Courts for the Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania and the Northern District of Illinois. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and its Women in the Profession and Client and Community Relations Committees; the Dauphin County Bar Association; The Lancaster Bar Association; The Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM); and the Human Resource Professionals of Central Pennsylvania (HRP). In addition, Susan is involved with the Keystone Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., where she serves on the Legal Rights Committee and is Chair of the Image Committee.

Beyond her professional life, Susan is part of the Mountville, Lancaster County community. She is a partner of LCBC, where she volunteers in numerous ways with the Church and serves as a Life Group leader and a Life Group leader coach. Susan’s Life Group “adopted” the Clare House, in Lancaster Pennsylvania, as the charitable organization they serve in her local community. In the wake of the Haiti disaster, Susan and hundreds of other folks from LCBC packed 250,000 boxes of meals for the Haitians through GAiN. An avid football fan, Susan roots for the Seattle Seahawks and Penn State Nittany Lions. She also enjoys rooting for the Philadelphia Phillies, and attends games when she can. Her other interests include hiking, biking, running, hacking at the golf ball, reading, writing, and her attempts to learn to play the guitar.
